Daycare Worker/Teacher

Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Daycare Worker/Teacher to join our early childhood education team. The ideal candidate will create a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children of various ages, supporting their developmental milestones and fostering a love of learning. This role involves working closely with children, implementing educational activities, and maintaining a positive classroom atmosphere to promote growth and well-being.

Duties

• Supervise and care for children in a daycare setting, ensuring their safety at all times
• Plan and implement age-appropriate educational activities that promote cognitive, social, and emotional development
• Assist with daily routines including feeding, diapering, nap times, and hygiene practices
• Monitor children's behavior and provide positive behavior management strategies
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the classroom and play areas
• Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding children's progress and any concerns
• Support children with special needs or disabilities by adapting activities and providing individualized care when necessary
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, including first aid procedures when needed
• Foster an inclusive environment that respects diverse backgrounds and abilities

Skills

• Experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or classroom settings
• Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices
• Strong classroom management skills to maintain a safe and structured environment
• Ability to handle behavior management effectively with patience and consistency
• First aid certification is preferred; willingness to obtain if not already certified
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate with parents, colleagues, and children
• Compassionate caregiving attitude with a genuine interest in child development
• Ability to adapt activities for infants, toddlers, preschoolers, or children with specific needs such as those requiring special education or caregiving support
