Daycare Worker /Driver

The toddler teacher nurtures and educates children aged 18 months to 2 years, fostering their social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development in a safe and stimulating environment.

Toddler teachers will do training early learning programs, guiding children through critical developmental stages. They create structured yet flexible learning experiences that promote curiosity, creativity, and social interaction while ensuring safety and well-being.

Key Responsibilities

• Lesson Planning and Curriculum Development: Design age-appropriate activities targeting motor skills, language acquisition, and social-emotional growth, combining structured lessons with free play.
• Implementing Activities: Conduct storytelling, arts and crafts, music, outdoor play, and sensory activities that encourage exploration and developmental milestones.
• Creating a Safe and Nurturing Environment: Maintain a hazard-free classroom, supervise children closely, and foster positive interactions.
• Monitoring Development: Observe and document each child’s progress in language, motor skills, and social behavior to tailor learning strategies.
• Parent Communication: Provide regular updates, organize conferences, and collaborate with families to support child development at home.
• Behavioral Management: Calmly redirect typical toddler behaviors such as biting or hitting, and document incidents professionally.
• Daily Care: Assist with feeding, diapering, dressing, and other basic needs while promoting independence.

Qualifications and Skills

• High school diploma or equivalent; early childhood education certification
• Prior experience with toddlers or young children, ideally in a similar setting
• Patience, creativity, and a genuine love for children
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and observational skills.
• Physically able to lift up to 20–40 pounds and remain active throughout the day.
• Basic first aid training is advantageous.
• Must pass background check.

Work Environment

• Indoor classroom with occasional outdoor activities.
• Structured daily routines including free play, circle time, meals, naps, cleaning, and outdoor activities.
• Reporting to a Childcare Director or Lead Teacher.
