Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Daycare Teacher to join our vibrant early childhood education team for ages 3 to school age. Responsibilities

• Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum plans that foster early childhood development, including literacy, math, physical education, and social skills.
• Provide attentive toddler care and preschool instruction that encourages curiosity and independence.
• Manage classroom behavior through positive behavior management techniques to create a respectful and safe learning environment.
• Communicate effectively with parents about their child's progress, milestones, and any concerns, fostering strong partnerships.
• Maintain detailed records of child development progress, attendance, and classroom activities in compliance with mandated reporting laws.
• Conduct assessments using standardized testing tools to monitor developmental milestones and tailor instruction accordingly.
• Ensure adherence to health and safety protocols by maintaining first aid and CPR certification, as well as following childcare regulations.

Qualifications

• Prior experience working with children in daycare or preschool or school age settings is required; classroom experience is highly valued.
• Knowledge of child development instruction, early intervention strategies, special education needs, and childhood welfare practices.
• Strong communication skills for effective parent interaction and team collaboration.
• Demonstrated ability in curriculum development, lesson planning, classroom management, and behavior management techniques.
• Certification in first aid and CPR is necessary; ongoing professional development in early childhood education is preferred.
• Familiarity with mandated reporting laws related to child safety and welfare.
• Experience teaching physical education or working with students on standardized testing is a plus.

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30.0 – 40.0 per week
