Duties

• Develop and implement engaging curriculum plans that promote literacy, math, physical activity, and social skills tailored to various age groups including toddlers and preschoolers
• Provide attentive care to children, ensuring their safety, well-being, and emotional comfort at all times
• Manage classroom behavior through positive reinforcement strategies and effective behavior management techniques
• Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about children’s progress, milestones, and any concerns
• Maintain a clean, organized, and stimulating classroom environment that adheres to safety standards and childcare regulations
• Conduct child development assessments and utilize standardized testing when appropriate to monitor progress
• Incorporate early intervention strategies for children with special needs or developmental delays, collaborating with specialists as needed

Qualifications

• Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or early childhood education settings is highly preferred
• Knowledge of childhood development principles, curriculum development, and classroom management techniques
• Certification in first aid and CPR required; ongoing training in mandated reporting laws is essential
• Strong communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, and team members
• Familiarity with special education practices, early intervention programs, and literacy education methods
• Ability to plan lessons that incorporate physical education, math concepts, and social-emotional learning
• Experience with toddler care, preschool teaching, and working within private or daycare settings is advantageous

Pay: $14.00 - $21.00 per hour
