Duties

• Implement engaging lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards and developmental milestones
• Supervise children during play, learning activities, meals, nap times, and outdoor time to ensure safety and positive behavior management
• Foster a nurturing environment that promotes social-emotional development, independence, and curiosity in children
• Communicate regularly with parents about their child's progress, milestones, and any concerns in a professional and caring manner
• Maintain accurate documentation of daily activities, attendance, and developmental observations
• Ensure classroom cleanliness, organization, and adherence to health and safety regulations including first aid and pediatric CPR procedures
• Teach students about Jesus and how much he loves them

Experience

• Prior experience working with children in daycare centers, preschools, babysitting, nannying, or similar settings is preferred
• Knowledge of childhood development instruction, behavior management techniques, and classroom management strategies
• Certification in first aid and CPR (including pediatric first aid) is required or willing to obtain upon hire
• Familiarity with mandated reporting laws related to child safety and welfare is essential
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with parents, team members, and children from diverse backgrounds
• Previous experience in early childhood education or preschool teaching roles will support success in this position
