Responsibilities

• Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum plans that promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development.
• Provide attentive toddler and preschool care, ensuring safety and well-being at all times.
• Manage classroom activities with effective behavior management techniques to encourage positive interactions and discipline.
• Communicate regularly with parents about their child's progress, milestones, and any concerns to foster strong partnerships.
• Conduct child development assessments and utilize standardized testing when appropriate to monitor growth.
• Incorporate literacy education, early intervention strategies, and basic math concepts into daily lessons.
• Maintain detailed records of classroom activities, incident reports, and compliance with mandated reporting laws.
• Ensure classroom organization aligns with health and safety standards, including first aid and CPR readiness.

Skills

• Extensive experience working with children across various age groups, especially toddlers and preschoolers.
• Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, early childhood education practices, and classroom management techniques.
• Skilled in curriculum development tailored to diverse learning needs, including special education and early intervention programs.
• Proficient in lesson planning that integrates literacy education, physical education, math skills, and social-emotional learning.
• Excellent communication skills for effective parent engagement and team collaboration.
• Ability to manage classroom behavior positively while fostering an inclusive environment.
• Familiarity with mandated reporting laws related to child welfare and safety regulations.
• Certifications in first aid and CPR are required; additional credentials in childhood development or preschool teaching are a plus.

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
