Childcare Teacher Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and attentive Childcare Teacher to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that children’s basic needs are met while fostering a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment that supports their growth and development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide basic care for children, including feeding, grooming, and diaper changing
• Create a safe, clean, and sanitary environment for all children
• Introduce children to age-appropriate activities, hobbies, and learning experiences
• Encourage positive behavior, social skills, and good manners
• Use creative learning methods such as storytelling, games, and art to stimulate development
• Monitor children’s progress and maintain accurate progress reports
• Identify behavioral concerns and implement appropriate strategies to address them
• Communicate regularly with parents regarding their child’s development and any concerns
• Hold parent-teacher meetings as needed
• Attend staff meetings, conferences, and professional development workshops

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree required
• Child Care Professional (CCP) certification preferred
• Prior experience working as a Childcare Teacher
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred
• Clear criminal background check
• Strong understanding of child development
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong conflict resolution abilities
• Patient, attentive, and compassionate demeanor

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $45.00 per hour
