Daycare Director

Poppy’s Playroom Preschool/Daycare is looking for a caring, energetic, and dependable Daycare Director to join our team! We are looking for someone who loves working with children, enjoys supporting a team, and is excited to help create a safe, happy, and nurturing environment where children can learn, play, and grow.

As our Director, you will play an important role in the day-to-day success of our center. You’ll work closely with our teachers, families, and administration to make sure our children receive wonderful care while our center remains organized, welcoming, and compliant with Utah childcare licensing requirements.

Qualifications:

• Candidate must meet all Utah childcare licensing requirements for a qualified Child Care Center Director and have the required Director credentials prior to assuming the position.
• Willing to Obtain Hands on CPR/First Aid

What You’ll Do:

• Help create a fun, safe, and nurturing environment where children feel comfortable and cared for.
• Lead and support our daycare teachers and staff throughout the day.
• Help with staff scheduling, classroom coverage, and daily center operations.
• Build positive relationships with children, families, and employees.
• Communicate with parents and families regarding their children’s care, needs, and experiences.
• Help train, encourage, and support staff as they grow in their roles.
• Monitor classrooms to ensure children are receiving attentive, age-appropriate care.
• Help maintain compliance with Utah childcare licensing regulations and Poppy’s policies.
• Assist with enrollment, tours, paperwork, and other administrative responsibilities.
• Help plan activities, special events, and opportunities that make Poppy’s a fun place to be!
• Address staff and classroom concerns professionally and help find positive solutions.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming childcare environment.
• Support health and safety procedures, including proper supervision, ratios, and emergency procedures.
• Communicate regularly with the administration regarding staffing, children, families, and center needs.
• Be a positive leader and a dependable resource for our team.

Pay: $10.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20.0 – 40.0 per week
