Duties

• Lead the day-to-day operations of the daycare center, ensuring compliance with licensing regulations and safety standards
• Supervise, mentor, and support teaching staff, promoting classroom management excellence and professional growth
• Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum focused on childhood development, preschool education, and early learning milestones
• Foster strong communication with parents through regular updates, conferences, and responsive support to their childcare needs
• Oversee child supervision to ensure safety, engagement, and positive behavior management across all classrooms
• Maintain accurate records related to child attendance, health reports, mandated reporting laws, and staff schedules
• Coordinate staff training on topics such as first aid, pediatric first aid, special education strategies, and working with children with disabilities

Qualifications

• Proven experience working with children in childcare settings, including daycare center experience or preschool teaching roles
• Strong knowledge of early childhood education principles, childhood development stages, and classroom management techniques
• Certification in first aid and CPR (including pediatric first aid) is required; additional certifications in special education or behavior management are a plus
• Demonstrated ability to lead a team effectively while fostering a positive environment for children and staff alike
• Excellent communication skills for parent engagement and team collaboration
• Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs is highly desirable
• Familiarity with mandated reporting laws related to child safety and welfare
