Duties

• Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum plans that support early childhood development, literacy education, math skills, and physical activity.
• Create a positive classroom atmosphere by managing behavior effectively and encouraging social interactions among children.
• Conduct classroom management to ensure a safe, organized, and engaging learning environment.
• Communicate regularly with parents about their child's progress, milestones, and any concerns, fostering strong home-school connections.
• Lead activities that promote childhood development, including early intervention strategies for children with special needs or developmental delays.
• Maintain accurate records of child progress, attendance, and assessments aligned with standardized testing where applicable.
• Follow mandated reporting laws to ensure child safety and welfare at all times, including first aid and CPR procedures when necessary.

Requirements

• Prior experience working with children in a preschool or childcare setting is REQUIRED.
• Knowledge of early childhood education principles, child development instruction, and classroom management techniques.
• Experience with curriculum development, lesson planning, and teaching physical education or literacy activities.
• Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with parents, colleagues, and children.
• Certification in first aid and CPR is REQUIRED; ongoing training in childhood development or special education is a plus.
• Familiarity with mandated reporting laws and child welfare policies to ensure compliance and safety.
• Ability to work well in a team environment while managing multiple responsibilities confidently.
