Job Overview

We are seeking a passionate and energetic Daycare Assistant Teacher to inspire young minds and foster a nurturing learning environment. As the cornerstone of our early childhood education team, you will lead classroom activities and ensure each child's developmental needs are met with care and professionalism. Your role is vital in creating a positive, safe, and stimulating space where children can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. The assistant teacher is responsible for instructing and assisting with the instruction of the curriculum and managing day to day learning opportunities that is Christ centered. Must be able to practice confidentiality at all times. All duties should be performed based on the Spirit of Service requirements. All other tasks as assigned.

Duties

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and care for children in a daycare setting which includes changing diapers and potty training
• Instruct children in basic skills such as colors, shapes, numbers, etc.
• Maintain a safe and clean environment for the children by keeping up with daily chores such as vacuuming, dishes, and other cleaning responsibilities.
• Communicate with parents or guardians about their child’s needs
• Prepare and serve meals

Requirements:

• Must be able to pass all background checks required by the state.
• Must have a caring and compassionate attitude

Education, Training and Experience: (We will provide necessary trainings and certification)

• Valid CPR and First Aid certifications
• Mandated reporter training
• 10 hours of training with Better Kid Care
• Annual Fire Safety training
• 12 hours of annual training

Physical Requirements:

• May require prolonged standing or sitting, frequent bending, stooping, or stretching.
• May require lifting items 25lbs or greater.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to stoop, bend, kneel on the floor without assistance.
• Push, pull, arts supplies and office equipment.
• Conduct activities involving standing, walking, sitting, crouching, twisting and reaching on a frequent basis.

Pay: $10.00 - $12.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10.0 – 35.0 per week
