Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and nurturing Daycare Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with young children and will play a vital role in creating a safe, engaging, and educational environment for our little ones. This position requires an individual who is enthusiastic about early childhood education and can effectively support the lead teacher in daily activities.

Responsibilities

• Assist the classroom teacher in the planning and implementation of age-appropriate activities that promote physical, emotional, and social development.
• Supervise children during playtime, meals, and nap times to ensure safety and well-being.
• Support classroom management by maintaining a positive atmosphere conducive to learning.
• Provide care for infants and toddlers, including diaper changes, feeding, and comforting as needed.
• Foster positive relationships with children, encouraging their curiosity and creativity.
• Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child’s progress and any concerns that may arise.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the classroom environment.
• Assist with behavior management strategies to promote positive interactions among children.

Requirements

• Previous experience in early childhood education or childcare is preferred.
• Knowledge of classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies.
• Familiarity with infant care practices is highly desirable.
• Certification in First Aid and CPR is a plus.
• Strong communication skills to interact effectively with children, parents, and staff members.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
• A nurturing attitude towards children and a commitment to their development and well-being.
