Job Summary
The Cottage Grove Site Director is a dynamic, energetic leader responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our youth development and childcare programs. This role involves managing staff, ensuring a safe and engaging environment for children and youth, and implementing educational and recreational activities that promote growth, development, and positive behavior. The Site Director will foster a nurturing community atmosphere, uphold all safety protocols, and ensure program excellence through effective team leadership and program management. Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise staff members, including teachers, activity facilitators, and childcare workers, ensuring high-quality program delivery
• Oversee daily site operations, including scheduling, resource management, and compliance with safety standards
• Develop and implement engaging educational activities, recreational programs, and youth group events that cater to diverse age groups
• Enforce behavior management policies to promote positive interactions and respectful conduct among children and youth
• Maintain strict adherence to first aid protocols, CPR/AED procedures, and other safety measures to ensure a secure environment
• Coordinate with parents, guardians, and community partners to communicate program updates and address concerns effectively
• Conduct regular site inspections to ensure cleanliness, safety compliance, outdoor activity management, and proper equipment use

Experience

• Proven experience working with children in educational or childcare settings; camp experience or youth program facilitation preferred
• Strong background in classroom management, behavior management strategies, and childhood development principles
• Demonstrated leadership skills with experience supervising teams of staff or volunteers in youth or childcare programs
• Knowledge of first aid procedures, CPR/AED operation, and emergency response protocols required
• Experience organizing outdoor activities or sports coaching is advantageous
• Familiarity with special education needs or working with children with diverse learning requirements is a plus
• Previous experience in youth development programs or teaching young children in various settings enhances suitability for this role

Pay: $25.00 - $27.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
