Responsibilities

• Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum that integrates literacy, math, and early childhood education principles.
• Create a warm, safe, and welcoming classroom environment that encourages curiosity, independence, and respect among young learners.
• Plan and execute daily lesson plans with clear objectives aligned to developmental milestones and educational standards.
• Use effective classroom management strategies to promote positive behavior and support social-emotional development.
• Communicate regularly with parents about student progress, behavioral updates, and ways to reinforce learning at home.
• Incorporate special education strategies and early intervention techniques to support diverse learning needs.
• Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws and child welfare policies to maintain a safe environment for all children.

Requirements

• Proven experience working with young children in preschool or daycare settings; prior classroom experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of childhood development, early intervention methods, and preschool teaching best practices.
• Familiarity with curriculum development, lesson planning, classroom management, and behavior management techniques.
• Certification in first aid and CPR is required; additional certifications in special education or early childhood education are a plus.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with parents, staff, and students.
• Ability to adhere to mandated reporting laws and child welfare standards diligently.
• Experience working with children who have special needs or require additional support is highly desirable.
• Demonstrated enthusiasm for teaching physical education, literacy education, math concepts, and fostering overall child welfare.
