Job Summary

Responsibilities

• Design and implement engaging lesson plans that incorporate curriculum development, literacy education, math, physical education, and childhood development principles.
• Provide attentive toddler care and preschool teaching that promotes social skills, emotional regulation, and early intervention strategies.
• Manage classroom behavior through positive behavior management techniques to ensure a safe and respectful learning environment.
• Communicate regularly with parents to share progress updates, discuss developmental milestones, and address any concerns.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress, standardized testing results, and classroom activities in compliance with mandated reporting laws.
• Foster an inclusive atmosphere that supports special education needs and promotes child welfare.
• Ensure safety protocols are followed by maintaining first aid and CPR certifications and adhering to health guidelines.

Qualifications

• Proven experience working with children in early childhood education settings such as preschools or private schools.
• Strong knowledge of child development instruction, classroom management, and behavior management techniques.
• Demonstrated ability to develop curriculum that supports literacy education, math skills, physical education, and overall childhood development.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with parents, colleagues, and administrators.
• Certification in first aid and CPR required; additional credentials in special education or early intervention are a plus.
• Familiarity with mandated reporting laws related to child welfare is essential.
• Prior classroom experience with toddlers or preschool-aged children is highly preferred.
• Ability to plan lessons aligned with standardized testing standards when applicable.

Pay: $14.00 - $15.00 per hour
