Play to Learn Childcare is hiring caring, dependable, and energetic Childcare Teachers and Preschool Teachers to join our Stamford, CT team.

We're looking for teachers who enjoy creating a warm classroom environment, engaging children through play and learning, and building positive relationships with children, families, and coworkers.

We are hiring for both Full-Time and Part-Time positions.

What You'll Do

As a Childcare Teacher, you will help create a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment where children can learn, explore, and grow.

Your responsibilities may include:

• Provide attentive, hands-on care and supervision for children ages 6 weeks to 5 years
• Create a safe, welcoming, and developmentally appropriate classroom environment
• Participate in age-appropriate activities that support children's cognitive, social-emotional, physical, and language development
• Assist with or lead lesson plans, classroom activities, monthly themes, and learning experiences
• Engage children through play, exploration, music, art, books, movement, sensory activities, and hands-on learning
• Supervise children during classroom activities, meals, outdoor play, and rest periods
• Use positive, age-appropriate behavior guidance strategies
• Observe children's development and communicate appropriately with families and the teaching team
• Build positive and respectful relationships with children, families, and coworkers
• Work collaboratively with fellow teachers and the Center Director
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom
• Follow Connecticut childcare licensing requirements, health and safety practices, and center policies

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who is:

• Caring, patient, dependable, and positive
• Genuinely interested in working with infants, toddlers, and preschool-aged children
• Comfortable being active and engaged with children throughout the day
• A strong communicator who works well with families and coworkers
• Reliable and able to work as part of a classroom team
• Willing to learn and grow in the early childhood education field

Preferred, but not required:

• Childcare, daycare, preschool, babysitting, nanny, camp, or early childhood experience
• CDA, Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education, or related education
• Currently working toward a CDA or Connecticut teaching credential
• Experience working with infants, toddlers, or preschool-aged children
