Responsibilities

• Plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities that promote learning, creativity, and social interaction for children across different age groups.
• Supervise children closely to ensure safety and proper behavior management at all times.
• Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about their child's progress, milestones, and any concerns.
• Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that encourages exploration and independence.
• Follow all mandated reporting laws and health and safety regulations to ensure a secure setting for children.
• Assist with diapering, feeding, nap times, and other daily routines to meet individual needs.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum plans that support early childhood development standards and educational goals.

Requirements

• Prior experience working with children in settings such as daycare centers, preschools, or babysitting roles.
• Knowledge of childhood development principles and effective teaching strategies for young children.
• Certification in First Aid and CPR (Pediatric First Aid preferred) to handle emergencies confidently.
• Familiarity with special education needs and experience working with children with disabilities is a plus.
• Strong classroom management skills to foster positive behavior and engagement among children.
• Ability to communicate effectively with parents, staff, and children in a professional manner.
• Understanding of mandated reporting laws related to child abuse or neglect.
