Job Summary

Duties

• Plan and implement age-appropriate educational activities that promote childhood development and learning.
• Supervise children during playtime, meals, naps, and other daily routines to ensure safety and well-being.
• Foster a warm, inclusive environment that encourages curiosity, creativity, and positive social interactions among children.
• Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding children's progress, behaviors, and any concerns.
• Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that adheres to health and safety standards.
• Apply child supervision techniques that support behavior management and developmental milestones.
• Follow mandated reporting laws by documenting incidents or concerns related to child safety or well-being promptly.

Experience

• Previous experience working with children in daycare centers, preschools, or similar settings is highly preferred.
• Knowledge of early childhood education principles and childhood development stages.
• Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is a plus.
• Certification in first aid, pediatric first aid, CPR, and child safety procedures is required or highly desirable.
• Demonstrated classroom management skills with toddlers or infants through nurturing caregiving or teaching roles.
• Familiarity with child supervision best practices, behavior management strategies, and family communication protocols.
• Prior nannying or babysitting experience involving infants or young children will be considered an asset.

Pay: $17.25 - $19.50 per hour
