Responsibilities

• Provide attentive supervision and care for infants or toddlers, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times
• Implement age-appropriate activities that promote developmental milestones in areas such as motor skills, language, social-emotional growth, and cognitive development
• Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning
• Communicate effectively with parents and guardians about their child's progress, daily activities, and any concerns
• Follow all mandated reporting laws to ensure children's safety and report any signs of neglect or abuse promptly
• Apply child development instruction techniques tailored to individual needs, including those with disabilities or special needs
• Manage classroom behavior using positive guidance strategies to foster a respectful and inclusive atmosphere

Skills

• Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, including infant and toddler care practices
• Experience working with children in daycare centers or early childhood education settings
• Certification in first aid, CPR, including pediatric first aid, to respond swiftly in emergencies
• Familiarity with special education strategies and experience working with children with disabilities or developmental delays
• Excellent communication skills for parent engagement and team collaboration
• Classroom management expertise to create a structured yet flexible learning environment
• Ability to handle child supervision responsibly while demonstrating patience, empathy, and enthusiasm for teaching young children

Pay: $14.00 - $18.00 per hour
