We are currently seeking a caring, dependable, and enthusiastic Teacher Assistant to join our team. If you have a passion for working with young children and enjoy being part of a supportive team, we would love to hear from you!

Responsibilities

• Assist the lead teacher with daily classroom activities.
• Help create a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment.
• Supervise and interact positively with students throughout the day.
• Assist with meals, playground supervision, nap time, and classroom organization.
• Encourage positive behavior and model Christian values.
• Communicate professionally with staff and families.
• Follow all DCF licensing requirements and Sonshine School policies.

Skills

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of the required 45 DCF Training Hours is preferred (or willingness to complete them within the required timeframe).
• CPR & First Aid Certification (Infant, Child, and Adult) is preferred or must be obtained.
• Must pass all required background screenings.
• Must be dependable, caring, patient, and work well in a team environment.
• A commitment to supporting the mission and Christian values of Sonshine School.
