Duties

• Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum plans that foster literacy, math, physical education, and social-emotional growth in young children
• Facilitate classroom activities that support early childhood development and encourage curiosity and creativity
• Manage classroom behavior through positive reinforcement and effective behavior management strategies
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about children's progress, milestones, and any concerns
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment in compliance with childcare standards and mandated reporting laws
• Support children with special needs or those requiring early intervention services by adapting activities and collaborating with specialists
• Conduct assessments using standardized testing tools to monitor developmental progress and inform lesson adjustments

Experience

• Prior experience working with children in a classroom or daycare setting is highly preferred
• Knowledge of childhood development principles preferred
• Experience developing curriculum and lesson plans tailored to various age groups and learning needs preferred
• Familiarity with behavior management techniques and classroom management best practices
• Certification in Child/Infant first aid and CPR is required; must be willing to become certified if not already
• Strong communication skills for effective parent interaction and team collaboration
• Demonstrated ability to follow mandated reporting laws related to child welfare and safety

Pay: $15.50 - $17.50 per hour

Expected hours: 20.0 – 40.0 per week
