· Provide a current DCF training transcript and any relevant credentials. Meet all training requirements applicable to your experience and assigned duties; approved DCF exemptions are accepted.

· If new to the child care industry, begin the required 40-hour introductory training within 90 days of initial industry employment and complete it within 12 months after starting. Complete approved 5-hour early literacy training within 12 months of initial industry employment. Existing deadlines do not restart when changing employers.

· Complete School Readiness preservice health and safety training within 90 days of initial employment with any School Readiness provider and before any unsupervised contact with or care of children in that program.

· Hold current pediatric CPR and First Aid certifications, or obtain them before assuming unsupervised classroom duties as a center requirement. CPR training must include an approved instructor-led skills assessment.

· Complete center orientation, universal precautions and exposure-plan instruction, emergency procedures, and fire extinguisher training within applicable deadlines. Complete task-specific training before administering medication or participating in child transportation, if assigned.

· Complete required ongoing professional development, including at least 10 hours of annual in-service training after completing introductory training. Keep certifications and required records current.
