Responsibilities:

• Provide attentive supervision and quality care for children ages 6 weeks–5 years.
• Plan and lead engaging, developmentally-appropriate activities that support cognitive, emotional, physical, and social growth
• Maintain a clean, safe, and stimulating classroom environment that meets Louisiana childcare licensing standards
• Establish positive relationships with children, parents, and co-workers
• Communicate daily with families regarding each child’s progress and routines
• Assist with diapering, potty training, feeding, and other caregiving routines as needed
• Follow all state regulations and center policies related to health, safety, and curriculum
• Work as part of a team to ensure a smooth, cooperative daycare environment

Qualifications:

• Patience, reliability, and a genuine love for working with young children
• High school diploma or GED required
• CDA or degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred
• Experience in a licensed childcare or daycare center, or preschool setting
• Familiarity with Louisiana Department of Education childcare regulations (LDE Licensing)
• CPR and Pediatric First Aid certification (or willing to obtain)
• Strong understanding of early childhood development and best practices

Pay: $10.50 - $12.50 per hour
