Child Care Teacher

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Childcare Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a nurturing and educational environment for children in our care. This role involves engaging with infants, toddlers, and preschool-aged children, fostering their development through structured activities and play. The Childcare Teacher will work collaboratively with other staff members to ensure a safe and stimulating atmosphere that promotes learning and growth.

Duties

• Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that align with early childhood education standards.
• Supervise children during activities, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
• Facilitate engaging learning experiences through play, arts and crafts, music, and storytelling.
• Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns that may arise.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom environment.
• Observe and assess children's development, providing feedback to parents as needed.
• Collaborate with colleagues to create a cohesive teaching approach that meets the diverse needs of all children in the program.
• Support children with special needs by adapting activities and providing individualized attention as required.

Skills

• Proven experience in caregiving or nannying, particularly in a childcare setting.
• Strong background in infant care, toddler care, and preschool education.
• Familiarity with early childhood education principles and practices.
• Ability to create engaging classroom activities that promote learning through play.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with children, parents, and colleagues.
• Patience, empathy, and a genuine love for working with children of all ages.
• Experience or knowledge in special education is a plus but not required.

Pay: From $11.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30.0 – 40.0 per week
