Child Care Teacher, Full-Time and

Keestone Academy is hiring dependable, caring Child Care Teachers for our preschool, daycare, and after-school programs. We are looking for people who will keep children safe, take part in their play and learning, and help create a warm, structured place where children can grow.

This is a hands-on position. Teachers work directly with children throughout the day, follow classroom routines, assist with personal care, lead activities, and work as part of a team. Applicants must be available Monday through Friday. Full-time and part-time positions are available.

What you will do

• Actively supervise children indoors and outdoors.
• Build positive, caring relationships with children of different ages.
• Lead age-appropriate activities such as stories, music, art, games, sensory play, and outdoor play.
• Help children build social skills, self-help skills, and healthy daily routines.
• Assist with meals, snacks, handwashing, diapers, toilet training, and rest time.
• Follow lesson plans, classroom schedules, center policies, and directions from the director.
• Clean and sanitize toys, tables, equipment, and classroom areas.
• Complete attendance sheets, daily reports, and other required records.
• Communicate respectfully with families and coworkers.
• Maintain professional boundaries and protect the privacy of children, families, and coworkers.
• Follow all health, safety, supervision, and Tennessee child care licensing requirements.

What we are looking for

• At least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Dependable, punctual, organized, and prepared for work.
• Patient, positive, and able to follow directions.
• Comfortable working with infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and school-age children.
• Able to understand and respond to children's social and emotional needs.
• Child care experience is preferred, but not required.
• Willing to complete required background checks, fingerprinting, and training.
• Able to lift and carry children and supplies, and to sit, stand, bend, kneel, and move throughout the day, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Schedule

• Monday through Friday.
• Full-time and part-time positions available.
• Exact shifts will be discussed during the interview.

Pay: $10.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15.0 – 38.0 per week
