Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and energetic Child Care Teacher to join our vibrant early childhood education team. Duties

• Develop and execute age-appropriate lesson plans that incorporate literacy education, math concepts, and foundational skills aligned with early childhood education standards.
• Foster a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment that promotes social-emotional development and positive behavior management.
• Support children with diverse needs, including those with autism or disabilities, by adapting activities and implementing specialized strategies such as Montessori or behavior management techniques.
• Manage classroom routines effectively, including transitions, meal times, nap times, and outdoor activities.
• Utilize classroom management skills to maintain discipline and encourage cooperative play among children.
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding children’s progress, behaviors, and developmental milestones.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum content that enhances learning experiences across subjects like literacy, math, and early childhood development.
• Maintain accurate documentation of children’s growth, attendance, and behavioral observations in compliance with licensing requirements.
• Stay current with best practices in early childhood education by participating in ongoing professional development related to special education, toddler care, preschool experience, or working with children with disabilities.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of all children at all times by adhering to health guidelines and safety protocols.

Experience

• Prior experience working with young children in daycare settings or private schools is highly preferred, but not required.
• Proven ability to manage classroom behavior effectively using positive reinforcement strategies.
• Familiarity with working with children who have special needs or developmental delays such as autism spectrum disorder or other disabilities is advantageous.
• Strong communication skills for engaging with children, parents, colleagues, and support staff professionally and empathetically.
• Classroom experience involving behavior management techniques and working within licensed childcare environments is desirable.
• Certification in early childhood education or related fields is preferred; however, relevant experience demonstrating expertise in childcare roles is equally valued. Join us in shaping bright futures by providing exceptional care and education to young learners!

Anticipated Schedule

• Monday - Friday - 11:00AM - 5:30 PM (more hours are available if requested)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $11.00 - $12.00 per hour
