Responsibilities

• Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum plans that promote literacy, math skills, physical activity, and social-emotional development.
• Provide attentive toddler care and preschool instruction, ensuring a safe, nurturing environment for children of various ages.
• Manage classroom activities effectively through strong classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies.
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to share progress updates, discuss concerns, and foster collaborative relationships.
• Conduct child development assessments to tailor instruction and support early intervention when necessary.
• Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws and maintain accurate documentation of child welfare and incident reports.
• Lead activities that promote childhood development, including standardized testing preparations and physical education exercises.

Experience

• Proven experience working with children in educational or childcare settings, including preschool or toddler care environments.
• Demonstrated expertise in curriculum development, lesson planning, and classroom management tailored to early childhood education standards.
• Familiarity with special education needs, early intervention strategies, and behavior management techniques.
• Strong communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, colleagues, and community partners.
• Certification in first aid and CPR is required; additional credentials in childhood development or early childhood education are preferred.
• Experience teaching physical education or literacy education is advantageous.
• Knowledge of mandated reporting laws and child welfare practices to ensure safety and compliance at all times.
