Child Care Director

Responsibilities

• Manage the daily operations of the childcare center, ensuring smooth and efficient functioning.
• Lead and supervise teaching staff, providing guidance on curriculum implementation, classroom management, and child supervision.
• Develop and oversee age-appropriate programs that promote childhood development, including infant care, toddler care, preschool activities, and special education needs.
• Maintain compliance with all licensing regulations, mandated reporting laws, health and safety standards such as first aid and CPR certifications, and pediatric first aid protocols.
• Foster strong communication with parents through regular updates, conferences, and collaborative problem-solving to support each child's individual needs.
• Oversee classroom environments to ensure they are safe, clean, stimulating, and conducive to learning.
• Coordinate staff training on behavior management techniques, childhood development instruction, special education strategies, and classroom management best practices.

Requirements

• Proven experience working with children across various age groups including infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and children with disabilities.
• Demonstrated classroom experience in daycare or early childhood education settings with strong classroom management skills.
• Valid certifications in first aid and CPR; pediatric first aid certification is highly preferred.
• Knowledge of mandated reporting laws related to child abuse and neglect.
• Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special education needs is a plus.
• Excellent parent communication skills to build trust and foster positive relationships with families.
• Strong leadership abilities with experience supervising staff in a childcare or educational environment.
• Background in early childhood education or childhood development instruction; additional training in behavior management is advantageous.

Pay: $49,600.00 - $57,600.00 per year
