Child Care Director

Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Child Care Director to lead our early childhood education and childcare programs. Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, organization, and supervision of all classroom activities, ensuring they align with developmental milestones and curriculum standards.
• Oversee staff recruitment, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations to maintain a motivated and qualified team.
• Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws, health and safety regulations, including pediatric first aid and CPR certifications.
• Foster open communication with parents through regular updates, conferences, and responsive support to address concerns or questions.
• Manage daily operations of the daycare center, including enrollment processes, record keeping, and maintaining a clean, safe environment.
• Implement behavior management strategies that promote positive social interactions and emotional growth among children.
• Coordinate ongoing professional development opportunities for staff in areas such as special education, childhood development, and classroom management.

Qualifications

• Proven experience working with children across various age groups, including infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and children with disabilities.
• Strong knowledge of early childhood education principles, child development instruction, and classroom management techniques.
• Valid certifications in first aid and CPR; pediatric first aid certification preferred.
• Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with mandated reporting laws and child supervision best practices.
• Excellent communication skills for engaging effectively with parents, staff, and community partners.
• Prior experience managing a daycare or preschool center is preferred; classroom experience in early childhood settings is essential.
