Responsibilities

• Manage daily center operations, ensuring a safe, clean, and engaging environment for children and staff.
• Supervise and support teaching staff in implementing age-appropriate curriculum focused on early childhood development instruction.
• Ensure compliance with all mandated reporting laws, licensing regulations, and health and safety protocols.
• Oversee classroom management and behavior management strategies to foster positive social interactions among children.
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to provide updates on child progress, address concerns, and strengthen community relationships.
• Coordinate staff training on topics such as first aid, pediatric first aid, CPR, special education needs, and working with children with disabilities.
• Maintain accurate records of attendance, incident reports, health screenings, and developmental assessments.
• Promote professional development opportunities for staff to enhance classroom experience and childcare quality.

Qualifications

• Proven experience working with children in daycare centers or early childhood education settings; preschool or toddler care experience is highly valued.
• Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, classroom experience, and early childhood education best practices.
• Certification in first aid, CPR (including pediatric first aid), mandated reporting laws, and child supervision protocols.
• Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special education needs is preferred.
• Excellent communication skills for parent interaction and team collaboration.
• Demonstrated classroom management skills along with behavior management expertise.
• Ability to lead a team effectively while maintaining a positive and energetic approach to childcare leadership.
