Child Care Director (Day Care)

Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Child Care Director to lead and manage our vibrant day care center. In this role, you will oversee daily operations, ensure a safe and nurturing environment for children, and foster positive relationships with families. Duties

• Supervise daily center operations, ensuring smooth and efficient functioning of all programs
• Lead, train, and support staff in delivering exceptional childcare, classroom management, and childhood development instruction
• Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum plans that promote early learning and social-emotional growth
• Maintain strict adherence to health, safety, and sanitation protocols, including first aid, CPR, pediatric first aid, and mandated reporting laws
• Foster strong communication with parents through regular updates, meetings, and responsive support to address concerns or questions
• Oversee enrollment processes, maintain accurate records, and ensure compliance with licensing requirements
• Coordinate staff schedules, conduct performance evaluations, and facilitate ongoing professional development in areas such as special education, behavior management, and working with children with disabilities

Skills

• Extensive knowledge of early childhood education principles, childhood development stages, and classroom management techniques
• Proven experience working with children across various age groups including infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and children with special needs or disabilities
• Strong leadership skills to manage a team of caregivers while promoting a positive work environment
• Excellent communication skills for effective parent engagement and team collaboration
• Ability to handle emergency situations confidently using first aid, CPR, pediatric first aid skills
• Familiarity with daycare licensing regulations and mandated reporting laws
• Demonstrated ability to implement behavior management strategies and create inclusive classroom environments

Pay: $19.00 - $25.00 per hour
