Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Child Care Director to oversee the daily operations of our childcare center. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring a safe, nurturing, and educational environment for children, while managing staff and maintaining compliance with licensing standards. This leadership role requires a strong background in early childhood education, hands-on experience in daycare settings, and certification in first aid and CPR. The Child Care Director will play a vital role in fostering a positive atmosphere that promotes children's development and supports staff excellence.

Duties

• Manage daily operations of the childcare center, including staff supervision, scheduling, and program planning
• Ensure compliance with all licensing regulations and safety standards
• Develop and implement age-appropriate educational activities aligned with early childhood education principles
• Oversee staff recruitment, training, and performance evaluations to maintain high-quality care
• Maintain accurate records related to children's progress, attendance, and health information
• Foster effective communication with parents and guardians regarding their child's development and center policies
• Ensure all staff hold valid teachers certifications appropriate for the age groups served (birth-2 or K-12)
• Conduct regular safety drills and ensure first aid and CPR certifications are up to date among staff
• Promote a positive, inclusive environment that encourages children's social, emotional, and cognitive growth

Skills

• Valid teachers certification in birth-2 or K-12 education required
• Proven experience working in daycare centers or early childhood education settings
• First aid and CPR certification (current or willingness to obtain)
• Strong leadership and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with children, parents, staff, and community partners
• Knowledge of licensing requirements and best practices in early childhood education
• Ability to create engaging educational activities tailored to various age groups
• Compassionate approach with a commitment to fostering a safe and supportive environment for children

Pay: $30.00 - $33.00 per hour
