Responsibilities

• Lead the development and implementation of age-appropriate curricula that promote childhood development, including preschool, toddler, and infant care programs.
• Supervise and support teaching staff by providing classroom management guidance, ongoing training in child development instruction, and adherence to mandated reporting laws.
• Ensure compliance with all licensing regulations, health and safety standards—including first aid, pediatric first aid, CPR, and childcare regulations—and maintain accurate documentation for inspections.
• Foster strong relationships with families through regular communication about their children's progress, behavior management strategies, and program updates.
• Oversee child supervision to ensure a safe environment at all times, including classroom management and behavior guidance strategies.
• Manage day-to-day operations of the daycare center or childcare facility, including staffing schedules, enrollment processes, and resource allocation.
• Promote a positive team culture focused on caregiving excellence, early childhood education best practices, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Skills

• Extensive experience working with children across various age groups including infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and children with disabilities or special needs.
• Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, early childhood education techniques, and classroom management strategies.
• Proven ability to lead a team of educators with effective supervision skills and experience in staff training or mentoring.
• Excellent communication skills for engaging with parents about their child's progress and addressing concerns proactively.
• Familiarity with daycare licensing requirements, mandated reporting laws, health protocols (including first aid and CPR), and safety procedures.
• Experience working in daycare centers or early childhood education settings with classroom experience in preschool or daycare environments.
• Ability to handle behavior management challenges compassionately while maintaining a structured environment conducive to learning.

Pay: $47,900.00 - $57,700.00 per year
