Child Care Center Director

The Fox West YMCA, located in Greenville, is hiring a full-time Child Care Director to lead our Early Childhood Child Care department. Early childhood care at Fox West includes full-time licensed child care, part-time drop-in child care, Hortonville 4K & 4K wrap around child care, preschool and growth & development classes. As a Director, you'll build relationships through meetings & correspondence with parents, members, staff, volunteers and our community partners. Responsibilities include maintaining program & childcare licensing standards and records with extreme accuracy. Help build your child care team by recruiting, hiring, coaching and leading your teaching staff and support coordinators. Plan, develop, and oversee an annual budget of income & expenses for child care program, as well as assist in the coordination & implementation of fundraisers. Directors serve as a trainer for child care & emergency response-related trainings. This position is one of importance to the growth, strength & longevity of the early childhood programming in the Fox Cities.

• Bachelor’s or associate degree in Education or related field.
• Previous experience working with early childhood or school age children is required.
• Previous leadership experience is required, preferably in a child care environment.
• Knowledge of state childcare licensing and YoungStar regulations.
• Outstanding interpersonal & customer service skills including a high-level of written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and multi-task within a fast-paced child care environment.
• Prior experience with budget development & management, income production & expense control and training & supervisory skills.
• Self-motivated, self-directed and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Proven ability to establish relationships with community organizations.
