Child Care Assistant Teacher

Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Child Care Assistant Teacher to join our vibrant early childhood education team. Duties

• Assist lead teachers in implementing daily lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards, including literacy, math, and early childhood education activities
• Support classroom management by encouraging positive behavior and facilitating age-appropriate behavior management strategies
• Engage children in play-based learning activities that promote social skills, creativity, and cognitive development
• Help with classroom organization, including preparing materials, setting up learning centers, and maintaining a clean environment
• Provide attentive toddler care and support for children with special needs or disabilities, including those with autism or other developmental challenges
• Communicate effectively with children, parents, and team members to ensure a collaborative approach to each child's growth
• Support curriculum development efforts by contributing ideas for lesson planning and activity enhancement based on individual child needs

Qualifications

• Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or private school settings is preferred
• Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education practices
• Familiarity with classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies
• Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs is a plus
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and colleagues
• Ability to assist in lesson planning focused on literacy education, math skills, Montessori methods or preschool curricula
• Certification or training in special education or working with individuals with autism is advantageous
• Demonstrated patience, enthusiasm, and a genuine passion for working with young children

Pay: $12.00 - $14.00 per hour
