Child Care Assistant Teacher

Duties

• Assist lead teachers in implementing age-appropriate curriculum and activities that promote childhood development and learning.
• Supervise children during classroom activities, outdoor play, meals, naps, and transitions to ensure safety at all times.
• Support children with daily routines such as diapering, toileting, and personal hygiene, following health and safety guidelines.
• Engage children in educational play that encourages social skills, creativity, and cognitive development.
• Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress, behavior, and any concerns to foster a collaborative relationship.
• Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that adheres to health standards and promotes positive behavior management strategies.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED (required)
• Prior experience working with children in daycare centers, babysitting, nannying, or similar settings is highly preferred.
• Certification in first aid and CPR (or willingness to obtain upon hire) is required.
• Strong classroom management skills with the ability to handle behavior management effectively.
• Ability to work well with infants, toddlers, and preschoolers.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
• Patience, creativity, and a genuine passion for working with children.

Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
