Responsibilities

• Assist lead teachers in implementing age-appropriate activities that promote early childhood development and learning.
• Supervise children during play, meals, nap times, and outdoor activities to ensure safety and engagement.
• Support classroom management by maintaining a clean, organized, and inviting environment conducive to learning.
• Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's daily activities, progress, and any concerns.
• Follow all mandated reporting laws to ensure child safety and well-being are prioritized at all times.
• Administer basic first aid and pediatric CPR when necessary, ensuring prompt response to minor injuries or health issues.
• Collaborate with team members to develop individualized care plans for children with special needs or disabilities, incorporating specialized child development instruction and behavior management techniques.

Qualifications

• Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, babysitting, nannying, or classroom settings is highly preferred.
• Knowledge of early childhood education principles and childhood development is essential.
• Certification in first aid and CPR (including pediatric first aid) is required or willing to obtain upon hire.
• Strong communication skills for effective parent interaction and teamwork within the classroom environment.
• Ability to supervise children actively while demonstrating patience, compassion, and professionalism.
• Understanding of mandated reporting laws related to child safety and welfare.

Pay: $16.00 - $17.25 per hour
