Child Care Assistant

Overview
We are seeking a compassionate, reliable and dedicated Child Care Assistant to join our team. This role involves supporting the development and well-being of children in a nurturing environment, ensuring their safety, engagement, and growth. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children, including infants, toddlers, and preschool-aged kids, and possess a strong understanding of childhood development and behavior management. This position offers an opportunity to make a positive impact on children's lives while working in a supportive and collaborative setting.

Responsibilities

• Assist in supervising children during daily activities, playtime, and educational sessions
• Support classroom routines and activities aligned with early childhood education principles
• Ensure the safety and well-being of children at all times, following proper safety protocols
• Engage children in age-appropriate activities that promote learning, creativity, and social skills
• Provide basic caregiving duties such as diapering, feeding, and comforting children as needed
• Collaborate with lead teachers and caregivers to implement lesson plans and developmental goals
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming environment conducive to learning and play
• Support children with special needs or disabilities by adapting activities and providing additional assistance when necessary
• Uphold all health and safety regulations, including first aid procedures when require

Qualifications

• Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, babysitting, nannying, or classroom settings
• Knowledge of childhood development stages and behavior management techniques
• Certification in First Aid and CPR is preferred or willingness to obtain upon hire
• Experience working with children with disabilities is a plus
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with children, parents, and team members
• Passion for nurturing children's growth and fostering a positive learning environment
• Reliable, patient, adaptable, and attentive to individual children's needs
