Child Care Assistant

Job Summary
We are a licensed child care home, caring for 12 children, infants up to preschoolers. We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Child Care Assistant to join our vibrant early childhood education team. In this role, you will support the development and well-being of children by creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment. Your enthusiasm for working with children will help foster their growth, curiosity, and social skills. Duties

• Assist lead teachers and caregivers in implementing daily activities that promote childhood development and learning.
• Provide attentive supervision and care for children across various age groups, including infants, toddlers, and preschoolers.
• Support classroom management by encouraging positive behavior and helping children develop social skills through engaging activities.
• Ensure safety protocols are followed at all times, including proper supervision during playtime, meals, and nap times.
• Help with basic caregiving tasks such as diapering, feeding, and assisting children with personal hygiene routines.
• Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that is inviting and conducive to learning.
• Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding children's progress and daily experiences.

Qualifications

• Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, babysitting, nannying, or classroom settings is preferred.
• Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education practices.
• Certification in First Aid and CPR is highly desirable to ensure safety during emergencies.
• Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs is a plus.
• Ability to care for infants and toddlers with patience, compassion, and understanding.
• Strong behavior management skills to support positive interactions among children.
