Child Care Assistant

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Child Care Assistant to join our vibrant early childhood education team. Responsibilities

• Supervise children during daily activities, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times
• Assist with implementing age-appropriate curriculum focused on childhood development and learning through play
• Support classroom management by maintaining organized, clean, and inviting learning spaces
• Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress, needs, and daily experiences
• Follow mandated reporting laws to report any concerns related to child safety or well-being
• Provide basic first aid and pediatric CPR when necessary, adhering to health and safety protocols
• Engage children in educational activities that promote social skills, emotional regulation, and cognitive development

Experience

• Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or similar settings is highly preferred
• Knowledge of childhood development instruction and behavior management techniques
• Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special education needs is a plus
• Classroom experience in early childhood education or daycare centers is desirable
• Familiarity with child supervision, toddler care, infant care, and classroom management strategies
• Certification in first aid and CPR (or willingness to obtain upon hire) is required
• Strong communication skills for parent interaction and teamwork within a childcare environment

Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
