Child Care Assistant Director

Job Summary
Little Explorers Academy is a brand center. We are seeking for an Assistant Director who plays a pivotal role in supporting the overall management and operation of our preschool/child care facility. This position involves assisting the Director in ensuring a safe, nurturing, and educational environment for children. The Assistant Director will also engage with staff, parents, and the community to promote a positive atmosphere conducive to learning and development.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the daily operations of the child care center, ensuring compliance with state regulations and licensing requirements.
• Support the Director in developing and implementing educational programs that meet the needs of children and families.
• Supervise staff members, providing guidance, training, and support to enhance their professional development.
• Foster positive relationships with parents and guardians, addressing concerns and promoting open communication.
• Monitor children's progress and development, implementing strategies to support individual learning needs.
• Collaborate with community organizations to enhance program offerings and resources available to families.
• Maintain a safe and clean environment for children, ensuring all health and safety standards are met.

Skills

• Strong educational background with experience in higher education teaching or education administration preferred.
• Proven ability to educate children effectively while fostering a love for learning.
• Experience working with students in an educational setting is highly desirable.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with staff, parents, and children.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Leadership qualities that inspire teamwork and collaboration among staff members.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour

• High school or equivalent (Required)
