Before and After School Site Director Heritage Heights Academy

About the Role

Luna Kids Care is seeking an experienced, high-energy Site Director to lead our before/after-school and full day ( during school breaks ) programs. As Site Director, you will oversee daily site operations, mentor group leaders, maintain Colorado licensing standards, and build strong relationships with kids, families, school staff to maintain a safe, enriching environment for school-aged children.

Key Responsibilities

• Program Leadership: Develop and execute dynamic daily schedules, enrichment activities, and programs that promote children's social, emotional, and academic growth.
• Team Supervision & Development: Train, and mentor group leaders; conduct performance reviews; and ensure appropriate staff-to-child ratios are maintained at all times.
• Safety & Regulatory Compliance: Enforce health, safety, and emergency procedures while maintaining full compliance with Colorado state and local childcare licensing requirements.
• Family & Community Engagement: Serve as the main contact for parents, handle feedback professionally, and collaborate with school partners.
• Site Administration: Attendance records, supply inventory, and outreach to support enrollment growth.
• Have fun everyday and enjoy working with the children.

Qualifications

• Colorado Shines Qualification: Must meet Colorado Shines Level II Director qualification requirements.
• Certifications: CPR and First Aid certified (or willing to obtain upon hire).
• Experience: Background in early childhood education, school-age childcare, or youth program leadership.
• Skills: Excellent leadership, communication, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Education Administration, or a related field.
• Experience managing before/after-school programs or summer camps.
• In-depth knowledge of Colorado childcare licensing standards.
