Community Education is seeking dependable, energetic, and caring individuals to join our School Age Programs team. Our Youth Program Leaders work with elementary-age students in our licensed before- and after-school programs located throughout Bowling Green and Warren County.

This is a great opportunity for college students, future teachers, education majors, social work or child development students, or anyone who enjoys working with children and wants meaningful part-time work.

What You'll Do

As a Youth Program Leader, you will help create a safe, welcoming, and engaging environment for children before and/or after the school day.

Responsibilities include:

• Actively supervise children and help maintain a safe, positive environment.
• Lead and participate in games, crafts, recreational activities, and enrichment opportunities.
• Build positive relationships with students and encourage participation.
• Use positive behavior guidance and redirection strategies.
• Work as part of a team with Site Supervisors and other program staff.
• Maintain required staff-to-child ratios and follow Kentucky child care licensing requirements.
• Assist with daily routines, including arrival, dismissal, snacks/meals, transitions, and cleanup.
• Serve as a positive and professional role model for students.
• Follow Community Education policies, procedures, and safety expectations.
• Complete required child care training and attend mandatory staff meetings.

Previous experience working with children is helpful, but not required. Training and support are provided.

Schedule

This is a part-time position with shifts available during before- and/or after-school hours on days school is in session.

This position can be a great fit for college students or others looking for a consistent part-time schedule that works around classes or other commitments.

Pay: $11.75 - $16.10 per hour
