Duties

• Care for children 5–12 years old from 7:00 to 9:00 AM, and care for children 3–5 years old from 3:00 to 6:00 PM
• Escort students to either on/or off their school bus or their classroom
• Serve as an on-call substitute teacher when a staff member calls out
• Greet the parents/guardians as they arrive to pick up their children
• Clean and reset the classroom for the next day
• Complete daily paperwork such as attendance sheets, health log notes, Brightwheel, etc.
• Other responsibilities the Early Learning Director or Office Coordinator assign you to do

Qualifications

• Experience working with children in settings such as childcare, camps, youth programs, or tutoring is highly preferred
• Knowledge of classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies
• Certification in first aid, CPR, AED operation, or willingness to obtain upon hire
• Strong outdoor work experience and comfort supervising children in outdoor environments
• Background in special education or childhood development is a plus
• Excellent child supervision skills combined with patience and positive communication abilities
• Ability to lead youth activities confidently while fostering a supportive atmosphere
• Prior experience in youth group activity facilitation or theater experience is beneficial

Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour
