Assistant Teacher – Early Childhood Education

Sunny Days Daycare is preparing to open in Winthrop! We’re looking for a caring, dependable Assistant Teacher to help create a welcoming environment where children can learn, play, and grow.

Responsibilities

• Support Teachers and Lead Teachers with age-appropriate activities, including reading, music, art, and play.
• Help supervise children and support daily routines, including meals, diapering, toileting, and rest.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting classroom.
• Encourage positive interactions and support children’s social and emotional development.
• Assist with daily records and communicate respectfully with families and coworkers.
• Follow daycare policies and applicable EEC requirements.

Qualifications

• EEC qualification/certification appropriate to the assigned role and age group is required; please include your credential details when applying.
• At least 18 years old with a high school diploma or GED.
• Previous childcare experience preferred.
• Patient, reliable, and comfortable working as part of a team.
• Must meet required background-check, training, and pediatric First Aid/CPR requirements.

Schedule and Compensation

Pay, employment type, and working hours will be confirmed during the hiring process.

The start date will be confirmed based on required approvals and the daycare’s opening schedule.
