Assistant Preschool Teacher

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Preschool Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will create a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children, fostering their social, emotional, and cognitive development. This role requires strong classroom management skills and the ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues. A commitment to child welfare and a background in curriculum development are essential for success in this position. Duties

• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to the developmental needs of preschool-aged children.
• Manage the classroom environment to ensure a safe, inclusive, and positive atmosphere for all students.
• Communicate regularly with parents regarding their child's progress, behavior, and any concerns that may arise.
• Provide individualized tutoring and support to students as needed to enhance their learning experience.
• Incorporate Montessori principles into daily activities to promote independent learning and exploration.
• Monitor and assess student progress through observations and assessments, adjusting teaching strategies accordingly.
• Collaborate with fellow educators to develop a cohesive curriculum that meets educational standards and promotes child welfare. Be familiar with Creative Curricullum.
• Maintain a clean and organized classroom space conducive to learning.
• Maintain inventory system for classroom materials and supplies
• Facilitate various activities for children including songs, games and storytelling
• Adhere to health/safety and sanitation procedures

Experience

• Proven experience working with young children in a preschool or childcare setting is preferred.
• Strong skills in classroom management, lesson planning, and curriculum development.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with children, parents, and staff.
• A genuine passion for early childhood education and commitment to fostering a love of learning in young students.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $36,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
