About Southern Pines Academy

Southern Pines Academy is looking for a caring, dependable, and nurturing Infant Room Teacher Assistant to join our team! We are seeking someone who is passionate about working with infants and committed to providing a safe, loving, and developmentally appropriate environment for our youngest learners.

Job Responsibilities

• Assist the lead infant teacher with daily classroom activities and routines.
• Provide attentive, nurturing care to infants throughout the day.
• Assist with feeding, diaper changes, and maintaining accurate daily care records.
• Help maintain a clean, organized, and sanitized classroom.
• Follow safe sleep practices and all North Carolina childcare licensing requirements.
• Support infants' growth and development through age-appropriate activities.
• Communicate professionally with parents and fellow staff members.
• Maintain active supervision of children and prioritize their health and safety.
• Complete daily cleaning and sanitation tasks as required.
• Work collaboratively with the classroom team to maintain a positive learning environment.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Required: Qualification letter from the North Carolina Division of Child Development and Early Education (DCDEE).
• Required: Current First Aid and CPR certification.
• Required: SIDS training certification.
• Required: Successful completion of all required background checks and applicable North Carolina childcare employment requirements.
• Previous experience working with infants is preferred but not required.
• Must be dependable, patient, nurturing, and attentive to infants' individual needs.
• Ability to follow safe sleep practices, sanitation procedures, and childcare licensing regulations.
• Must be willing to work as part of a team and communicate professionally with parents and coworkers.

Work Schedule

• Monday–Friday 8:00am-5:00pm
