Assistant Director for Childcare Center

NOW HIRING: ASSISTANT DIRECTOR – CHILDCARE CENTER

We Care Daycare SC LLC is seeking an experienced, dependable, and motivated Assistant Director to join our leadership team. We need a hands-on leader who takes initiative, holds staff accountable, and helps ensure our center operates safely, efficiently, and in compliance every day.

Key Responsibilities & Qualifications:

• Strong knowledge of South Carolina DSS childcare regulations and classroom ratios
• Knowledge of ABC Quality standards and requirements
• Knowledge and understanding of South Carolina 4K programs, including how the program operates, requirements, classroom expectations, documentation, and daily procedures
• Familiarity with SC Endeavors
• Experience using Procare childcare management software
• Assist with staff training, coaching, supervision, and accountability
• Create and manage staff schedules and classroom coverage
• Monitor classroom ratios and staffing throughout the day
• Execute and oversee daily center operations
• Oversee staff to ensure classrooms and common areas are cleaned, sanitized, organized, and maintained
• Monitor building maintenance and report needed repairs or safety concerns
• Ensure trash is removed daily and cleaning procedures are followed
• Maintain and monitor classroom, cleaning, office, and center supply inventory
• Complete weekly detailed reports on center operations, including staffing, supplies, maintenance, compliance concerns, and areas needing improvement
• Plan and oversee fun activities, learning experiences, weekly themes, and special events
• Ensure classrooms remain safe, engaging, organized, and licensing-ready
• Support teachers and provide classroom coverage when needed
• Maintain required staff training and documentation
• Communicate professionally with families, staff, management, and the Owner
