Responsibilities

• Assist in overseeing daily classroom activities, ensuring they align with developmental goals and safety standards
• Support staff in implementing child development instruction and classroom management strategies
• Supervise child supervision to ensure safety and well-being at all times
• Able to lift 50 pounds
• Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress, behavior, and needs
• Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws and health & safety regulations, including first aid and CPR protocols
• Help coordinate staff schedules, training sessions (including first aid, pediatric first aid, and special education), and performance evaluations

Requirements

• High School Diploma, 60 Hours of training, Proven 1 year experience working with children in daycare, preschool, early childhood settings, College credits, or an Associates Degree in a closely realted field. Must have a Clearance Card.
• Strong knowledge of childhood development, behavior management, and classroom experience
• Certification in first aid and CPR; pediatric first aid certification is highly desirable
• Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special education needs is a plus
• Excellent communication skills for parent engagement and team collaboration
• Familiarity with mandated reporting laws and child supervision best practices
• Ability to manage classroom environments effectively while fostering positive behavior and learning outcomes
• Previous leadership or supervisory role.
