Assistant childcare teacher

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Child Care Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a commitment to fostering a nurturing and stimulating environment for children. This role involves developing and implementing engaging curricula that promote the social, emotional, and cognitive development of young learners. The Child Care Teacher will work closely with children, parents, and staff to ensure the highest standards of care and education are met.

Duties

• Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that align with educational standards and promote literacy, math, and physical education.
• Create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning.
• Manage classroom behavior effectively while promoting positive interactions among students.
• Conduct assessments to monitor children's progress and adapt teaching strategies accordingly.
• Provide individualized support for children with special needs or those requiring early intervention.
• Foster strong communication with parents regarding their child's development, progress, and any concerns.
• Maintain accurate records of student attendance, behavior, and academic performance.
• Collaborate with colleagues to enhance curriculum development and classroom management practices.
• Engage in continuous professional development to stay current with best practices in early childhood education.

Experience

• Proven experience working with children in a daycare, preschool, or private school setting is essential.
• Strong background in childhood development principles and behavior management techniques.
• Familiarity with standardized testing procedures and literacy education strategies is preferred.
• Experience in curriculum development, lesson planning, and classroom management is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of Montessori methods or similar educational philosophies is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with students, parents, and staff members.
